Southern Syringe Services has been in operation for 50 years. The business, which was started in a garage by the current owner, dealt in disposable healthcare products such as gowns, gloves, towels and surgical equipment.
Today the company has 5 main depots in Ireland, Scotland, Southgate, Manchester and Bristol. The distribution site based in Coalville, Leicestershire delivers to all the major depots except for Ireland which is distributed via carrier. In addition to this Southern Syringe Services delivers to the National Health Service on a daily basis at depots all around the UK and the hospitals within their designated area.
Chris Robins, transport manager says:
"I first heard about Alltruck Hire via a mail shot letter and brochure. I wasn’t actually involved in the transportation side of the business at the time but when the letter came through I decided to give Alltruck a call.
