Supply vehicles on contract hire across two locations
Part of AGA Consumer Products Ltd, Rangemaster are the UK's leading manufacturer of range cookers and kitchen sinks. The company has been producing sinks for the last 70 years and were the inventors of the range cooker in 1833. Recently the company has re-branded and, as it stands today, Rangemaster is the brand name for the range cookers, built in ovens and hobs, hoods and splashbacks and the Leisure Sinks brand focuses on a wide range of sinks and taps.
The company currently employs approximately 800 staff across two operating locations, Long Eaton and Leamington Spa.
Ken Jones, logistics manages says:
"We were planning to change the way in which we distributed our goods to our customers and at the time we had our own bought in fleet. With the help of Alltruck we implemented various vehicle types into the existing fleet on spot and long term rental. This helped us to build up our fleet and allowed us to establish which vehicle types we would need to set up our core fleet.
"My initial impression of Alltruck was very good. One of the benefits of working with them is that they work very closely with us and try to cater very much for our needs. They understand that our business needs are going to change.
"When we merged the two businesses together we were originally using third party distribution but with the help of Alltruck we brought the distribution back in house using rental vehicles from Leicester. We had a core fleet of similar specified vehicles to that of Long Eaton so that they could be phased anywhere across the business, providing us with total flexibility. Due to the personnel at Alltruck, and the relationship we have with them, we have made Alltruck our preferred supplier.
