Cooper Lighting and Security Ltd, part of the worldwide manufacturer Cooper Industries, is the leading mains lighting, emergency lighting and fire detection company in the UK .
With manufacturing of their products based at a number of sites in Yorkshire, the company supplies customers throughout the UK and across the world.
Alltruck supplies the total fleet requirement to Cooper Lighting and Security on a dedicated distribution contract to their distribution centre in Doncaster.
Cooper Lighting and Security was formed in 2000, bringing together the Crompton Lighting, Menvier and JSB brands, which have a history of manufacturing dating back as far as the late 19th century!
Today their transport operation is managed by 34 Alltruck plc personnel 24 hours a day, 5 days a week based at their National Distribution Centre, near Doncaster. This offers a complete UK wide distribution service, encompassing dedicated vehicles and drivers, supplemented by sub contractors for offshore, overnight and peak period additional volumes.
In 2002 Alltruck plc were successful in their bid to supply 12 new vehicles and 12 replacement vehicles to the existing fleet.
