Truck Online Review
This blog is dedicated to some of our favourite truck related things we have stumbled across on the internet this week.
We’ll start off with this Labatt Streamliner truck from the 1930s and 40s that we stumbled across on Autos.ca
We’ll soon have our new Bevan 21 bodies joining our rental fleet – but this truck was decades ahead of its time in terms of aerodynamic design. The truck was designed to deliver greater payload and higher speed; as well as being an attention grabbing mobile billboard.
We’re pretty sure the Streamliner would still attract attention today and you can find out more about it here.
And from history to the future – we thought the new Bevan 21 bodies looked modern until we saw these concept trucks from Luigi Colani courtesy of Dark Roasted Blend!
Impressive stuff but perhaps a fair few years before we’ll be seeing anything like this on the road! For Mercedes Benz in the present day we’re delighted to announce that our new Mercedes fleet is now available for rent and you can see a few Actros snaps in our media gallery.
But where would the trucks of yesterday, today and the future be without the diesel engine?
So we’ll finish this blog post with a bit of a history reminder on one Mr Rudolf Diesel – inventor of the diesel engine – find out more about him in on The European Automotive Hall of Fame wesbite.
