What do snow and trucks have in common?
Apparently Eskimos have over a hundred words for ‘snow’. We don’t know if that’s true or not, but we think the point is that people create a lot of words and terms for what is most prevalent and/or important in their world.
You only have to look at the number of words for ‘money’ in the English language to see that whoever first said “money makes the world go round” probably had a point. Cash, readies, wonga; the list is almost endless.
And when we look at what makes our industry tick, there’s a fair few words and terms for those big lumps of metal that roll around on wheels too – also known as trucks, lorries, wagons…amongst many others.
So what we want to find out at Alltruck is: what do you call your commercial vehicles?
Trucks? Lorries? Something else?
And why?
